How to measure: wrap a soft tape around the widest part of your pup’s head, just in front of the ears and under the chin. Go by head size, not weight. Pups under 9 lb or with a head smaller than 9.3 in may be too small for a secure fit.
Getting started
- Let your pup sniff the ear muffs and reward them with a treat.
- Put them on for a few seconds at a time during calm moments, with lots of praise.
- Slowly increase the time until they’re comfortable. Practice before the big night, not during it.
Good to know
- Adjust the straps so they’re snug but comfortable. You should be able to fit two fingers under the chin strap.
- Always supervise your pup while they’re wearing the ear muffs, and never leave them on while unattended or in a crate.
- Ear muffs are a comfort accessory, not a medical device. If your dog’s noise anxiety is severe, talk to your vet.

How to measure your pup
- Chest: wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- Back length: measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
- Neck: measure loosely around where the collar sits.
Then compare with the size chart for this item. Chest is the most important measurement. Between sizes? Size up for a comfy fit.
